A simple practice game to help your child prepare for their Year One phonics test.
To begin, select which section you want to practice. There are two sections in the paper: section one tests their Reception phonics; and, section two tests their Year One phonics.
Matching the paper, section one has 12 words and section two has 8 words.
You will see an alien word (not real) which your child should try to say using the phonics rules they have learned. Click on the right-hand side of the screen to move onto the next word. Click on the left-hand side of the screen to move back to the last word. Click on the "Refresh" icon in the top right to get a new, random set of words.
